A day that is easy to organise.
The signature route beneath the gallery forest, far from the noise. Shuttle, canoe or kayak, paddles and buoyancy aids are included. You leave your car at the finish, the shuttle takes you to the start, and you paddle back to your vehicle.
Limited shuttle seats
If the shuttle is full
Minibus seats are limited. When none are left, you choose how to reach the start — either way your car waits for you at Pont de Saugnacq and the minibus brings drivers back at the end of the trip.
What to bring
Shoes that stay on your feet and can get wet, sun protection and water. Leave a change of clothes in the car and keep your phone and documents in a dry bag.
How the shuttle works
You meet at the finish point and leave your car there. The shuttle drives you to the launch point, and you paddle back down to your vehicle.
On the river
The Leyre is calm with no technical difficulty, and a briefing is given before launching. Sandbanks invite you to stop : take your litter with you, the river crosses a regional nature park.

Where is the meeting point for the 13 km route?
The meeting point is at the end of the route, at our base in Belin-Béliet at 89 Route de Bayonne. You can leave your car there, and our shuttle will then take you to the starting point in Saugnac.
How long should I allow for the walk from Saugnac to Belin-Béliet?
The half-day trip takes around 3½ hours, whilst the full-day trip takes up to 6 hours. The full-day trip gives you time to stop off on the sandbanks for a picnic.
How is the shuttle service organised if there are only a limited number of seats in the minibus?
If the minibus is full, there are two options. You can either follow our minibus in your own car as far as Pont de Saugnacq, or make your own way directly to the departure point.
How much does this ride cost for adults and children?
The price is €10 for children up to the age of 10 on both options. For adults, the price is €22.50 for the half-day option and €25 for the full-day option.
