Kayak and canoe hire allows you to explore the Leyre at your own pace on routes of 6, 13 or 20 km. The trip is suitable for children aged 5 and over, provided they can swim, and includes all the necessary equipment as well as the shuttle bus to take you back to your starting point.
Set off for an adventure lasting from one and a half to four days, camping only in authorised areas.

All these trips take place on the same river, the Leyre, a class I river: a gentle current, no rapids, meanders and sandbanks under a continuous canopy of trees. Shuttle, buoyancy aid, paddle and dry barrel are included. You must be able to swim; no experience is needed. We are in Belin-Béliet, 45 minutes from Bordeaux and half an hour from Arcachon Bay.
Self-guided hire suits those who want to go at their own pace, with no fixed timetable once on the water: it is our most popular option. Guided trips are designed for groups, school parties and anyone who prefers to be accompanied throughout. Multi-day journeys need specific preparation: stages, wild camping and equipment are agreed with us before booking. In every case, being able to swim is the only requirement and no canoeing experience is needed: the Leyre is a calm river with no rapids.
